Tat Ruck: Full-time manager and moderator for Devon Grapevine. Tat has extensive experience and expertise in ESOL and Literacy teacher and teacher-training, in educational consultancy and developing online educational programmes.

Rehab Farag: part-time moderator for Devon Grapevine and administrator for Grapevine and for Olive Tree. Rehab is involved, as a volunteer, with a wide range of local community groups and projects, including Devon United Women, Refugee Support Group and Exeter Mosque.

Kate O’Neill: part-time ESOL class and volunteer coordinator. Kate is a qualified and very experienced teacher who has taught both adults and children in UK, in Spain and in Abu Dhabi.

Committee members

Nrvan Zowal, Chair: Originally trained as a nurse in Egypt, Nrvan has been settled in Exeter for many years. Nrvan is an active volunteer in the local community, with a particular interest in working with women’s and children’s groups.

Anil Lee: Anil is the founder and manager of Multilingua, Devon’s first Community Interpreting and Translation Service which now offers trained interpreters in more than 50 languages.

Fakhira Ashfaq: Fakhira juggles managing the Hikmat drop-in centre in Exeter, which caters for elder people from local BME communities, with being a local businesswoman. Originally from Pakistan, Fakhira has lived in Exmouth for more than 20 years.

Sevil Fertinger: Originally from Turkey, Sevil works as a Community Development Worker for Devon PCT. Sevil has expertise and extensive experience supporting BME victims of domestic violence.

Mensrain Khalil: Mensrain came to the UK with her family to seek asylum from the conflict in Afghanistan. Mensrain is a qualified doctor specialising in Gynea/Obes and ultrasonography and has worked in different national and international organisations.

Mujib Khalil: Like his wife Mensrain, Mujib is a qualified doctor with extensive experience working for different national and International organisations. He has two MAs, one in Medicine and second one in Public Health. He has worked in Pakistan and Afghanistan.

David Wright: One of the founders of Olive Tree, David is a very experienced teacher and teacher trainer who has taught both children and adults in the UK, Greece, Spain, Brunei Darussalam and the Middle East.
